Rye ale made from seven distinct malts including four different types of rye. Heavy amounts of Centennial and Perle hops intermingle through a thick, multi grain base with a beautiful red hue from a healthy dose of crystal rye.

On tap in pint glass from Tomlinson Taproom in Indianapolis. Amber in color with a thin white head with good lacing. Aroma is well balanced with rye and other malts and hops. No smell dominates. Taste is pleasant with good bite from rye on the back end. A nice, solid rye ale.

Poured a very nice semi-deep red with some good head and decent lacing. Nice thick malty scent with a nice rye spiciness to it. Decent flavors, good sweet malts and a nice rye spice. Went down alright, with some rye roughness. (On tap at Tomlinson Tap Room.)

Had this beer pulled into a tulip glass at the Tomlinson Tap in Indianapolis. The beer has nice red-brown color. The head was small, but the lacing was persistent.
I have only had rye beer a couple of times so I was not sure what to expect.
The taste was rather bitter. I assume that is the rye talking. There was some hop flavor.
Overall, this is a good drinkable beer that I would have again. I want to explore more from this brewer.

This was a dang good rye. Got this at Shoreline the other day. Very bitter and satisfying. Color is very clear reddish-orange with loads of lacing. Taste is of hops, some citrus and (surprise, surprise) rye. I really liked how prevalent that grainy rye taste came through. I had asked the waitress if it had a smoky flavor to it and she was honest; it doesn't at all. I hoped it would but they don't claim that it does. That was simply something I wanted. Very good never the less!

Had on tap at the brewery
A- Came served to me looking a darker amber color with some light orange tint to it. Little 1/2 finger white head makes way to some nice lighter lacing on the sides of the glass.
S- Nice rye smell to this beer I thought along with some underlying sweet malts (for me..maybe toasted just lightly) with some light piney and citrus-y hops to it as well. Good aromas throughout the entire beer and not just at the front.
T- Nice light hop bite upfront with this beer giving way to a nice crisp dry rye taste along with some sweet malts in the middle of the beer. There is a light sourness from the rye to this in the tail end of this beer along with a light bitter hop bite.
M- Medium-light mouthfeel to this beer. Carbonation is good for the style and helps glide over the palate. Leaves a light rye taste in the mouth after the beer is gone and also in the aftertaste along with a light bitter hop.
D- This is a highly drinkable beer and I almost just stuck with this the rest of the night. Wish I did but at the same time they had so many other beers to choose from it was great. Good job Shoreline!
