(on-tap at Black Swan brewpub)
Poured a very nice mid-copper color with good head and nice lacing. Nice citrus-hop aroma with a very nice malt backing. Good flavors, a nice malty body with great American NW hop finishes, with a great hop sparkle on the tongue at the end. Went down very smoothly.

This was brewed from fresh hops harvested here in Indiana.

A: Deep golden color. Excellent head formation and retention. Nice lacing during the drink.

S: Mostly malt, but the hops show through with an earthy, slightly "green homebrew" kind of aroma. Not unpleasant, but not great, either.

T: This has a very homebrew-like quality about it. It must be the wet hops. It is bready and earthy and hoppy.

M: Medium body and decent carbonation make for good mouthfeel.

D: Nothing extreme or "off" about the beer.

Had on tap at Shoreline.

A- Poured amberish golden color. Two finger off white head shows good retention. Spotty lacing on the sides of the glass as I drink this down.

S- Light biscuty malty undertones. Earthy and bitter hop overtone but not by much. The aroma on this beer is a little bit of a mess as nothing really is as it seems. You could have fooled me that this was a wet hopped beer.

T- Once again this doesn't really pack the flavor I would expect. Very bitter hops in the front of this kind of kill the palate for the rest of the beer. Light bready grainy malts in this toward the middle along with a light fruity flavor. I can't tell what fruit I should be tasting because it gets covered by the bitter hops.

M- Medium mouthfeel Carbonation is good for the beer I suppose. Bitter hops dominate everything from the palate to the aftertaste with a light alcohol in the aftertaste. Medium drying on the palate from the alcohol. Flavors were muddled and not very put together. Not very clean tasting with a light soapy flavor.

D- This beer wasn't bad...it wasn't good either. It was just kind of well...there. Glad I tried it but I didn't go back for another glass either. Nice try Shoreline but this beer is something I expect from a new brewery just starting up.
