Poured from a 64oz growler into two imperial pints. Thanks to HeatherAnn for the assist!
A: Pours a slightly hazed, pale orange color with a short-lived, just off white layer of foam on top. Carbonation is a little on the lazy side. The color is gorgeous.
S: Hints of grassy hops flash briefly before biscuity malt and sweet cereal grains assert themselves. A little short on the earthy hops.
T: Grassy hops and honey drizzled biscuits. Mild citrus and sweet carmel malt.
M: Suprisingly sweet with some welcome toasty dryness for balance. Alcohol is a touch on the spicy/prickly side but the sweetness keeps it in check.
O: Would loved to have tasted more of a lemony/noble hop and/or grassy/herbal/earthy hop component. Pretty good as it stands, though.

Had on tap at Shoreline.
A- Came to me a dull golden orange color. One finger white head sohws medium retention. Long web style lacing left on the glass.
S- Biscuit malts overpower the light grassy hops in the front of the nose. I really thought the biscuity malts came in full force toward the middle with a hint of a almost light lemongrass aroma. Light grainy appearnace in the nose toward to end with a light earthy hop presence. Alcohol in the ending dominates most other scents.
T- Biscuity malts in the front of the beer starts things off with a hint of grassy hops. Middle of the beer shows the same biscuity malts with a light wet grain flavor as well. The ending is more of the same biscuity malts with a hint of earthy hops toward the ending. Alcohol creeps up around this time and starts to kill off all other flavors. This follows the nose pretty much dead on.
M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is good for the style. Biscuity malts and light earthy hops are left on the palate. Aftertaste is mostly warm alcohol, biscuity malts, and light bitter hops. Flavors were biscuit forward which went well for what they were going for. No off flavors but with a lot of these imperial pilsners there is a warming overtone from the alcohol which can act as one. Medium high alcohol drying left on the palate.
O- A nice way to bring in batch 300. Imperial pilsners are such an interesting beer to me as they are almost on the verge of tasting either like a horrible pilsner or higher alcohol tasting malt liquor. A little more time should be needed to cool off the alcohol flavor but I thought it was a above average try for this brewery.
