Poured out a cloudy copper color,,extremely hazy, definitely unfiltered. Head was very weak,,and it dissipated very quickly.Has quite a nice hoppy scent that gave me a good feeling about this beer.drinkability is average though.Thin mouthfeel. Highly hopped but just not balanced enough for me and IPA is one of my fave styles. Definitely worth trying but Harvards has better beers.

Springfield, PA location. OG 14.3 Plato. A hazy reddish-copper body is capped by a thin lid of loose white foam that drops readily to a thin collar and whispy surface foam (dirty glass, perhaps?). The nose delivers all that's expected of an IPA with piney, floral, and very mildly citrusy hops over a moderately biscuity and lightly caramelish malt. The body is medium/light; and it's soft and smooth across the palate with a very fine, low-level carbonation of @1.9 volumes that lets all of the flavors come through. It's very English in that sense; and yet it utilizes some American hops. Interesting! The flavor continues that thought with a bold combination of piney hops and caramelish malt right upfront; and then a touch of licorice as it crosses the palate before warming to reveal some more of the sweetish malt beneath the hops. It's certainly got enough bitterness to fall under the IPA banner, yet it's nicely reigned in. It finishes dry and lightly spicy with some residual fruit and soft lingering malt. Well done.
