I was really impressed and surprised with this one. The draught list was not too impressive when I went in for dinner, so I figured I usually don't go wrong with some sort of stout. I was told this is an Irish Dry, but it really does not taste like one at all. This one is black as night with a well-retaining brown head. Aromas of wheat(odd?) and chocolate. Mouthfeel is velvety and smooth, and quite nice, most likely due to the nitro tap. I thought the nitro would kill the flavor, but it did not at all.
Super dark chocolatey with a nice, subtley sweet malty punch in the finish. For once, nitro doesn't increase smoothness and diminish flavor. This was really smooth and very flavorful. Another impressive stout from the Wayne, PA JHBH.
