Created by adding Montmorency cherries to a Belgian-style brown ale and aging in an oak cask for four months. The result is a fruity, spicy, tart, complex ale blending oak, vanilla, intense cherry and brandy-like flavors.

Very little head, pours a dark cherry. Smell is pleasant, the malt and cherreis come through. Taste is mainly tart...overemphasis on cheriies, no subleties. Mouthfeel is somewhat dry, which IMHO is a good quality. Despite its tartness, it was not overly harsh.

Pours a dark slightly hazy cherry red, some lacey film on top, and thin bits of white lacing on the glass.
Musty, oak aroma, cherry and bread.
Vaguely malty, with not much cherry taste until it warms beyond serving temperature, tart.
Medium bodied, just didn't do it for me.
