Served in a 'Hoegaarden style' glass. Pours a cloudy "white" yellow-gold topped with a one finger foamy white head, leaves the glass fully covered with webbed lacing.
Vanilla, spice, flowers and lightly toasted malt aroma.
A great spot on wit taste to me, spice and wheat, lemon, bitter citrus zest, coriander, a powdery yeast note, and curaco.
Light bodied, crisp and a bit biting.

This one has an ugly appearance. It is gold or light straw but the murkiness is almost dirty looking.
Smell is a nice wheat/malt balance and has some spiciness too. Cloves or allspice and coriander. Hints of fruit too.
Nice strong banana-like taste with some additional fruitiness and spiciness behind it--maybe a little peppery too. Dry mouthfeel and quite easy to drink--very smooth. Reminds me more of a German style Hefe-weisse than a Belgian style Wit but no matter. It is a fine beer. Too bad they give it to you in a fairly small glass.

Performed in the round with this one on 10/1/2004. 10-oz. pour in tumbler glass, new for the Cambridge location.
Silty yellow hue that set up nicely in appropriate glassware. Fine layer of initial head which crowned nicely; little attenuation. Pungent blanket of lemony tartness and some aspiriny hints, with a light lemon grass and corn husk tinge to round out bouquet. Excellent wit character with some chomped bitterness at end with a trailing golden raisin sweetness, but just an echo. Medium-bodied and quite quenchable with a gentle finish; like a warm low tide wash over sun-baked granite outcroppings.
