On-tap 3/8/08 at the brewpub served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a medium off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of light malts, lager yeast, honey, some spice and a touch of hops.

T: The taste is malty and light with flavors of caramel, honey & spice. There's a mild but quite complimentary hops presence that provides a nice balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Smooth and crisp, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is clean and dry.

D: Very tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, nice kick, very good representation of style. This is an excellent beer that I could see myself drinking for a very long time.

Interesting name for this beer, but anyway. It came out in a pint glass and I was excited about this beer when I saw this coming to me. Nice dark golden color on this beer with a good amount of carbonation. Smell was quite spicy actually. I was a little afraid that this would be too spicy (like Victory's Moonglow). But I stood corrected. This was balanced quite right with the spice and hops and some citric notes at the end. Aftertaste consisted of those citric/exotic fruit notes and not the spice, which I like. Another solid brew from John Harvard's.
