Bright amber in color with a respectful lacing. Slightly fruity and floral nose - clean. Crisp, floral, bready, dextriny sweet. Tight carbonation on the palate, grape-like highlights, fruity sweet as the beer warms. Some lager-like sourness/sulfury edge, dry-raw bitter splash with hints of lime-rind and a delicate spiciness. Background toasty malt, slight caramel, blossom honey with milky pith with a slightly drying and quenching finish.
Reminds me of a Bohemia knock-off, very easy to drink and refreshing. Brewed for Cinco de Mayo with Saaz hops (17 IBU) and Pilsner and Cara-Munich malts.

Went south of the border with this one on 5/6/2005. 16-oz. pint pour at the Cambridge location.
Nice, more than a film coating of initial head settles into a thin lace and a fair amount of stick. Amber hue, surprisingly, verging on the darker end of the spectrum with some haze and nice burbling brook action. Cinnamon and/or nutmeg on nose, with a wash of some caramel malt, but otherwise understated. On the mouth, fairly nondescript in that nothing jumps out immediately, but with time a light pepperiness appears with some graduated rose hip, a hint of lemon rind, and some candy cane. Crisp on the mouth and finishes dry.
Pretty good would have been perfectly happy to be downing more than one of these on Cinco de Mayo, or any other day for that matter.
