pale/crystal malts
amarillo/cascade hops
nice chestnut color with red highlights. clear. splotchy thin head of creamy substance. bubbly. somewhat syrupy. those fresh amarillos dominate the nose as well as a developed sugary caramel sweetness. flavor is extremely juicy oozing citrus hop domination but not even beginning to approach overpowering. huge notes of sweetened pink grapefruit with a nice, nutty balance of brown-ness in the background. some cheek pucker but no chalky bitterness. hophead conditioning makes this a mild, unaffecting note. substantial for 5.0 without being thick or sludgy (despite initial appearance as such). smoky aftertaste rounds out the experience and makes it one worth repeating.
