why all 5's? well, unlike some reviewers, my reviews resemble our justice system. instead of starting at 0 and going up, i start at 5 and subtract. i love this beer. i was apprehensive at first, but this beer was exceptionally smooth. i expected it to be overly bitter, but it wasn't. It was very good with a plate of Buffalo wings. you can definitely smell and taste the hint's of chocolate/espresso.
try it, you won't regret it.
edit 240 reviews later, again, a rookie review, i know, i will rereview when it comes back on cask

A - Inky bayou swamp water w/thin large bubbled tan head.
S - Roasty, earthy, woodsy, hickory smoke aromas.
T - Tinge of hop and roast malt bitterness up front. Carmelized smoked game in the middle. Finishes burnt and dry tempered with hop bitterness.
M - Medium, with fairly thick, slightly oily mouthfeel.
D - Reasonably drinkable.
