The name of this beer, as per the beer menu, claims that the gravity of the beers just under the requisite 18.0. It weighs in at 17.0, so its not quite a Dopplebock and too strong to be a Bock. So its a Bock and a half. Get it?
This beer came a bright amber with a thin ring of head.
Smells of a light and powdery malt with some sweet dates and a green sour apple.
Tastes of big pale(er?) malts with a dry concord grape and a bit of sour apple. Theres a subtle overlying citrus rind hop that permeates the entire brew from start to finish.
The mouth feel is medium bodied with a light tingly carbonation.
