Served in a wide tulip glass, the beer arrives pale orange and opaque with just a few suds of head. The aroma is slightly sweet with notes of hay and malt, I could summon peach too. The beer drinks very smooth, much more like a session ale than a double. Very little hops bite and lots of mouth feel. I was very pleasantly surprised by the balanced nature and easy drinking in this unusual ale. Worth a trip to try.
