Appearance is amber colored ale with a nicely formed off white head leaves thick lacing on the glass. Aroma contains evident spicy rye character with moderate hopping here warm biscuit bready malt layer nothing too sugary just nice toasted grains. Flavor profile consists of a creamy edged breadiness with the bitey rye spicing herbal hop finish all flows well together nice to see a rye beer flowing at JH in Monroeville. Mouthfeel is creamy texture medium to lighter body very smooth carbontion. Drinkability goes down with ease and flavorful enough to call for another.
