This beer had a very murky dark brown color. A small of white head quickly faded. No carbonation can be seen through the unfiltered body. Moderate clupms of lace.
A very chocolate malt aroma was quite pleasent as a first scent. A next whiff had a secondary body of toasted wheat. A middle of the road hop quality helps keep this beer from being to sweet in the nose.
This beer had a very nice taste of toasted wheat. There is only a minor hint of chocolate taste as an aftereffect of the sip. No sweet flavor but only a light hops keeps this beer from being overpoweringly bitter.
Nice solid body. A moderate amount of carbonation helps the flavor develop on the tongue.
A slighlty higher then average beer. I would enjoy this as a before dinner beer with a salad. Always a treat to go to John Harvard's, but this one you could pass up for any of there other selcections and not be dissapointed.
