A: Extreme dark brown, opaque with subtle black auburn hues. Medium sized, fizzy light brown/milk chocolate colored head that dissipates relatively slowly and remains as a thin layer. Good lacing as expected.
S: Faint at times, but big roasted and charred smells up front with coffee, some oak, burnt nut scents and slight chocolate on the backend. It seems as though the burnt coffee bean scents are present throughout with the chocolate coming out to sweeten up the nose at the end.
T: Follows the nose...Coffee, roasted nut, and some charred wood flavors up front with some sweet malts poking through slightly near the middle and the chocolate present to finish the sip and remain in the mouth as an after thought. A nice balance, but the coffee and charred flavors overtake the chocolate flavors too much at points.
MF: Medium and smooth.
Overall: Brewed with real imported chocolate. I would have like to see more sweet malt, vanilla, and chocolate flavors, but glad I tried it nonetheless. Too much roasted and charred flavors at times.
