Poured a dark amber hue with a one finger creamy off white head. There was good retetion and lacing.
The smell featured a faint chocolate malt and an overall mild grain. A bit too understated.
The taste consisted of a soft chocolate malt and a very good grain bill. There was a subtle sweet honey and hop spiciness as well.
The mouthfeel was full and dry.
Overall a very drinkable brown. Very sessionable. One of JH's best beers to date.
