Blackberry Blonde displays a hazy pinkish-red body beneath its short-lived white head. The nose offers a kind of generic fruitiness that's just barely distinguishable as blackberry. It's nice. Not too sweet. Probably from real fruit. Medium-bodied with a dextrinous edge. The fine-bubbled standard carbonation lightly bristles the tongue. The flavor delivers a fruit-infused sweet maltiness. Again, the fruitiness is kind of non-distinct, but it does remain "real", not too sweet, and with a slight edge of blackberry. The fact that there's some maltiness to it is nice as well. There's a very low bitterness as might be expected, I'd guess around 9 to 12 IBU's, but it also has a gentle tartness that helps to balance it. It finishes sweet, with a dull malty/fruity blend as the tartness dissipates. Lingers shortly. Slightly better than average fruit beer in flavor and aroma, but the appearance is lacking.
