This beer pours a hazy/cloudy amber color with a thick, creamy one finger head to it. Head recedes to a film leaving thick sticky lacing on the glass. Nose is of carmelized malts, a touch of spice, and the rye is present. Taste is rye up front, that is a touch spicy mixing very well with bready malts. Finish moves in to a touch of hops here - has a nice grapefruit and orange presence coming though. Nice blend of bitter and sweet. Mouthfeel is medium to fuller bodied, low to medium carbonation, thick creamy mouth feel, slightly sticky finish to it. This is a nice beer to sit with for a little while.

Revied from Notes on my Blackberry. JH in framingham.
This beer poured a reddish amber opaque body with a small white head
Nose was thick with a sweet fruity fresh malt smell
Taste was medium bodied with a thick fresh cut grain taste. Immediate hits with
loads of strong pepper and rye spice. At first it almsot reminds of a holiday
ale. Very fruity malt taste. Nice bitterness and hoppy red ale taste.
What an amazing combination of Red Ale, Rye Ale and even touches of spices holiday beer. Maria continues to brew better and better brews. Kudos.
