This beer arrived as a hazy, light brown sample with a thin layer of head. About what I expected from a Scottish ale.
Aroma was of rich malt and dark bread. It was also somewhat earthy.
Taste was rich, full earthy malt, with some fruitiness thrown in for good measure. Although it used peat malt, I did not get any smoked character.
Mouthfeel was very good, full and rich. It was smooth.
Good marks for drinkability. It went down well and made you want more. Too bad I was the driver.
