Sampled at the Harvard Sq. brewpub. 8.6% abv, 18 IBU.
This ale poured a cloudy, golden yellow color with thin white foam. The aroma was modest but was fruity bananas. The taste was fruity (bananas and pears), malty, and sweet (candy sugar flavor). The mouthfeel was smooth and creamy and rather sweet. The body was medium-light. I have had better tripels, but this one was very drinkable despite the sweetness.

On tap at the Harvard SQ location in a small goblet.
Hazy beige amber colour from the hazing, quite active carbonation keeps the head alive for the most part. Fruity and yeasty alcoholic aroma.
Slightly crisp and creamy, phenols lean towards medicinal. Alcoholic with fruity esters and mild solvent flavours all over. Big yeasty bite in the middle with toasted biscuity dry malt flavours in the end.
Very raw and flavourful, a little green tasting and the alcohol character is a bit over the top for me and the Tripels I am used to. Still it was a pleasure to try.
