Poured from a brown 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a cola color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is sweet, dark fruits. Taste is of dates, figs, anise, none of the sweetness in the aroma, finishes dry. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a unique and enjoyable beer.

50cl bottle, 7m old so not fresh.

Clear dark ruby tinted mahogany. Sturdy beige head that sticks nicely.

Nose is sweetened dark malt.. like a dark sweet christmas bread or mämmi. Very promising, no metal and enough body.

Taste delivers, although relatively dry and lithe. Meaning very drinkable for the style. Long smooth aftertaste. Just the right amount of hop bitterness at the end to leave you thirsting.

An excellent tmavé speciální that has no weak spots.

It pours a clear, mahogany colored body. Thick beige head with good amount of lacing.

It has an aroma of toasted malts, plum, caramel and mämmi.

The taste has toasted malts, rye, coffee and caramel sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and creamy, with little bitterness and average carbonation. The aftertaste is malty with caramel sweetness and slight bitterness.

A very enjoyable dark lager.

13% Plato.
Pours unexpectedly dark for granat, clear brown beer with tan head, moderate retention.
Smell - sweet, caramel, woody notes, dark fruit jelly, roasted tones.
Taste - sweet dark malts, roasted, slight hop bitterness in the finish. Medium body, soft carbonation.
Uncommon beer, as it is definitely not czech dark lager, nor czech amber lager. Reminds softer version of Pardubicky Porter.

Foam disappears fast. Dark brown color - just like a strong tea.
Smells of dark bread and oak.
Tastes very malty, yet hops are quite bitter. Aftertaste malt and hops fight for a while leaving a sweet remnant.

This actually is distinct czech beer style - Polotmavy (half dark).
