Deep ruby color, medium-sized beige head. Aroma of caramel malt and grass. Taste of roasted malt with a hoppy finish.Refreshing. A very "Czech" beer.

I would like to give my eternal thanks to my local, in-person trader, @tone77 for his massive recent drop-off that included this beer! I was astounded by how much beer he brought for me & shamed by the fact that mine was merely a paltry offering. 8=( I must atone to @tone77 !
From the Bottle (his drop-off, his call): "Brewed in Pardubice, Czech Republic"; "Craftsmanship In Beer Brewing"; "Craft Boom of Pardubice"; "This Special Dark Lager is characteristic with its full flavour and nice aroma from Special Dark and Caramel malts and Saaz hops. In addition to these taste characteristics, the Pardubice Granat will attract consumers by its typical reddish colour, compact foam and slightly higher alcohol content."
I Pop!ped the cap & started a slow, gentle C-Line pour into the awaiting glass. I was heartened as it not only evinced a pseudo-cascade, but it also settled to form two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, deep-tan/light-brown head with decent retention. Color was Dark Brown to Very Dark Brown (SRM = > 27, < 34) with NE-quality clarity & garnet highlights. Beautiful! Nose had a toasty brown breadiness, like B & M Brown Bread with notes of dried dark fruits (raisins & prunes) as well as anise, treacle & coffee. 8=O Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but above average for a Lager. The taste was more subtle than the nose, more towards a Cherry Coke in terms of its flavor. It tended to be on the sweet side, although it was not full-on sweet. Finish was semi-sweet & I was satiated after one 500-ml Bottle. YMMV.
