This beer is first brewed with ale yeast, and then hastily cooled. Lager yeast is used for a second fermentation.
The colour is brown, the liquid very hazy - just like a Hefe Weizen. The finger thick head is compact and pale brown.
The strong smell got bitter notes of hops, lots of yeast, some sweetness and hints of chocolate, broth and milk.
The taste is fresh and matured at the same time; lots of aromatic hops, an unusual malty flavour with notes of dark bread, mixed dried fruits, some old fashioned candy and wheat flour. The aftertaste got an elegant mild bitterness, some salty flavours of malt, milk chocolate bars and a touch of coffee.
The carbonation is mild yet fresh, the bubbles small. The liquid is very smooth.
An very unusual beer experience with lots of balanced flavours. I like.
