Copenhagen 14/9 2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Usual Svaneke design with a label formed like Bornholm - this time in white and brown. Apparently named after Princess Mary - which is interesting with a ABV of 8,2 %.
Pours hazy maroon with small white head. Settles as thin transparent patchy layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is strong, dark and sweet. Caramel, dark fruit and a solid whiff of alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is strongly sweet with a kind of sticky feel to it. Only very light bitterness. Aftertaste is heavy sweet with a light alcoholic after-burn.
Quite a heavy sweet Princess with a boozy streak.

50 cl bottle, carried back 4000 miles from Rønne, Denmark to Minnesota.
A: Hazy iced tea colored body. Very large fluffy head off the initial pour, reduces to film.
Smell: Carmel and bread, sweet and rich. Slightly lactic and faintly grassy.
Taste: Smooth and creamy at first, rises to nutty and sweet, then sharp with grassy malt at it's peak. A pleasant lingering flavor, reminiscent of coffee on the way out. This is a very enjoyable beer.
Mouthfeel: Thick and rich going down, backed up with a good level of carbonation.
Drinkability: I am really enjoying this beer, that I am sure I will never be able to have again. Bornholm is a wonderful island, off the beaten tourist path in Denmark, experience it if you get the chance.
