Poured from the bottle into a stemless wine glass.
A big three finger light coffee espresso brown top, with big swiss cheese retention sits on top. The body color pours a dark mahogany brown, but fills with a very dark walnut brown, nearly black with some very faint red hues, and a good opaque appearance.
A nice hint of mellow toast, but a good hint of milk chocolate sweetness on the malt angle. Slightly waffery light and surprisingly comes off actually hinting like a flavored stout. Slightly dense and husky as well.
The palate does hint more to a simple basic stout. Light grains and mild roast character on first sip. Potted basic coffee hits and fills the mid palate as well. Mouthfeel hints towards a nice light stout body, with a nice hint of cocoa quality on the finish. Good dense malt backbone on this also.
This is just a straight forward light bodied stout, seems to hint more towards a classic American style, and has a good milk chocolate quality. Very nice.

The color is dark brown, borderline black, a tan head, rather small, little lacing and small curtains.
The smell is weak , some sweet dark fruits and roasted malt.
A sweet smoky start, brown sugar, dried fruits, coffee and a grassy end.
Medium low carbonation, small foamy bubbles, a soft texture with a small body, a light dry finish.
A good balance, good with smoked cheese.
