Just as the fishermen on Bornholm know their craft, so do we know our craft. Our Craft Pilsner is a land-based light Lager with a base of Danish barley malt and a good dose of Opal and Callista hops. The taste is of fresh grain, hop flowers and juicy fruits. Fermented on Svaneke Bryghus' legendary bottom yeast.

Copenhagen 29/6 2019. 33 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb F. New brand of cans with an hand drawn design - this time in light green with a raunchy sailor from Bornholm. First time I've tasted cans from Svaneke.
Pours unclear, golden yellow with a small white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Moderately intense aroma. Fruity sweetness and a light grassy bitterness. Pale malts, peach, pear and grass. Hints of butter.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet undercurrent.
Pretty well-balanced lager. Does what it is supposed to - in a slightly boring way.
