When the old 200-ton cargo ship calls at port and sets sail, it always has something good in its cargo: this time beer.
A light and smooth Belgian ale, polished round by the waves like a beach pebble. The taste sloshes between citrus fruits, cloves and sweets.
Let go fore and aft, amidships has sailed!
Goes well with light meat and pork, such as roast pork, Christmas ham and warm meatballs.

Copenhagen 16/12 2018. 75 cl bottle from Fakta, Frederiksundsvej, Kbh NV. Simple Drawing of the Christmas Ship transporting a couple of boxes of Svaneke Brew.
Pours hazy, golden amber with medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam almost covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweetish, spicy and malty. Sweet malts, plums, cloves, anise, licorice, sugar. Odor of stuffy refrigiator rummaging in the background.
Soft carbonation. Texture is flat, oily with only a light tingling sensation from the carbonation.
Flavor is quite sweet bordering on being cloying. Followed by lighter spicy bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and lingers for a while.
Svaneke is hitting the Christmas spices a bit too hard to suit my taste buds.
