Copenhagen 19/3 2018. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Svaneke continues their line of beers you can use to congratulate people on being good neighbors, good Father figures or colleagues. Ridiculously flashy label with a star and a design which looks like something out of a very bad comic book.
Pours slightly hazy light amber with a big white bubbly head. Settles as a thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer but almost transparent. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense and not particularly sweet. Bread intermingling with some sour citrus and some light saltiness.
Medium strong carbonation. Watery and thin texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and somewhat dry. Semi dry finish.
Saying "thank you" to a colleague is certainly a thoughtful thing to do and polite. This beer is more a polite acquaintance than a heartwarming friend.
