Draft pint at the Layton brewpub. This is a very dark woodsy copper with a stoic 1/8-inch foam top. The aroma -- just a very light sweet malt. Pretty heavy body, which was nice. Flavor is sweet malt, lightly bitter pear or apple and a smooth/sweet finish. Extremes settle away as it warms. Tangy aftertaste lingers on the rear sides of your tongue. (#2789, 4/11/2007)

Pours a nice clean/clear dark golden color, nice carbonation, nice one-finger plus creamy off-white head, nice sticky lacing throughout the drink. The nose is of malts, slight hops, and caramel, The taste is slightly bitter, malty, and a nice touch of hops, the finish is slightly bitter and dry. Medium body. Very drinkable, this is a very tasty brew, probably the best vienna lager in town, highly recommended.
