12oz can at share. Pale golden pour , spotty head. Light orangy, citrus aroma. Taste is grainy, fruity, citrus then turns hoppy, piney. Oily consistency.

Canned April 6th 2022.

Pours a clear gold with a good head of foam that lasts for a while. Lacing is okay.

Smells of pine, citrus, somewhat resinous, some caramel malt sweetness.

Pine, grapefruit citrus, caramel malt, some alcohol, lightly resinous, bread, not quite a symphony of flavours so I don't enjoy it as much as I could.

Decent mouthfeel, carbonation could be kicked up a notch.

Not my favourite DIPA. It certainly looks the part.

Pours a golden-copper color with a light haze to the transparency. Head is two fingers of white foam. Aroma is resiny and piney with light citrus and floral hops behind. Delicate bready malts are underneath, revealing a boney, spiney structure to the beer. Flavor profile is resiny, floral, and citrus hops with mild banana bread, and bready malts behind. It has a bubblegum note as well, especially as the beer warms. Mouth feel is soft with a crispy finish. Thickness is medium. Overall, pretty standard. The hops are pretty delicate despite being 8%.

Served in a shaker pint glass from a 16oz can. Reviewed from notes.

real sturdy, not unique, but well done, neat to see more and more things showing up in cans from these guys, i like what they do. a fair bit of malt on this, a copper hue, some sweetness in the middle, a toasted warmth to the whole thing exacerbated by the alcohol coming through, and a little bit of a metallic thing at the end, pennies, but its short lived and the hop bitterness is what lingers longest on my tongue. i dont know what the hops are in this, but i would guess higher alpha northwestern varietals, it has some centennial type woodiness, a simcoe sort of grapefruit intensity, and a pine vibe as well, resinous and west coasty, less fruity and more bitter and malty than what has become fashionable these days, but i dont mind it being assertive and a bit of a throwback. i think the proportions are good. it could be a little cleaner overall, but the freshness is decent and i think this serves its purpose pretty well. this should appeal to the big ipa drinker, but with all the malt has strong pale vibes too. a fine choice for their canned lineup, maybe improved with a food context, craving the spicy chicken wings from their brewery...

edit: i am wondering now if my experience with this was not super fresh the first time, because i just had it from what i assume to be a real fresh can and its way better than described above here, its unique a little bit on the hop side, a pacific jade or gem vibe or something, southern hemisphere, melon, kiwi, a little more distinct than it seemed to me the first time and without any of the metallic character in the finish, even though it still has the necessary malt support. more layered and complex than i think i gave it credit for, have to increase a couple of scores here.

12 oz can from the government store. Pours clear deep gold with a small white head. Aroma: sweet malt, caramel, citrus, faint booze. Taste: sweet malt, citrus with a bitter hoppy finish. Nice balance, a solid DIPA.

LOOK - - - deep orange with a brown hue - barely a 1/4" head with a pretty hefty pour from the 12 oz can - some lacing continues after the head vanishes
SMELL - - - I can make out some pine and grapefruit - some caramel / malt - not much there
TASTE - - - strong hops - decent bitterness - quite a bit of booziness - sweet and syrupy caramel and tropical fruits
FEEL - - - medium bodied but flat after a couple of minutes - not much interest on the tongue
OVERALL - - - a drinkable DIPA - ok but probably wouldn't buy regularly - worth a try though - there are definitely a lot of hops in this one
