I tried this beer off the tapper as part of a four sample flight at the Hank's Bistro and Brew in Eden, Utah whilst there visiting old friends after touring Idaho State with my daughter. It poured a slightly hazy golden with thin off white ring head that is leaving some lace. The scent had subtle citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base with subtle bitter citrus hop presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

cool they got together with the mountain to make this one. i never know which roosters location the beer i am drinking comes from, but they are doing it well lately. this has a little bit of an amber color to it, not super pale, but with a frothy inch plus of off white head and some low shine, looks fine with all the bubbles rising up. aroma and flavor are the same, somewhat old school to me with the malt base, light caramelized grain character along with piney hops, less bitterness but full flavor, juniper and bitter orange suggestions too, a honey note, and a certain cleanness in the ferment that makes it seem kind of simple even though its actually kind of evolved and layered. nice minerality to this, a quick dry finish for it being as grain flavored as it is, and the right amount of hop pep to make it seem kind of crisp, even almost a lager vibe to this. if i am being critical its got more body than it needs, is maybe a little overbalanced the way these can sometimes get, and without enough of a distinct hop profile to make it stand out, but its a versatile food beer that can handle spice, very well made overall, works for any kind of hoppy beer drinker i would think, and has a high drinkability factor. pretty classic, sierra vibes a little bit. best when ice cold.

12 ounce can.
Typical amber pour, lightly hazed. Lasting cap and leaves thick bubble strands of lacing.
Breaded up malty nose.
Middle of the road, decent pale ale, mixing more bready notes with a drying and slightly resiny hop finish.
