This gently hazed, brassy ale is too low in alcohol to constitute a genuine IPA. It also has bittering that goes completely off the terrestrial bitterness scale and enters a realm all its own. It’s like a post-apocalyptic jungle of radioactive hop bines spewing alpha acids across the urban wastelands. (Good grief. How did I come up with that?)

At any rate, this one’s gonna scare off your macro drinking friends who will gaze at you with puzzled scrutiny wondering, “You drink this stuff?” The taste is like raw lemon rinds with a perky nuttiness. A smell of walnut shells interweaves with an intrusive yeast component and a whiff of toasted bread.

I’ll give this one a light nod of endorsement, but this is a polarizing beer. This bittering is so scathing, some will like it, others will not.
