Bottle from Aldi labelled as Great British Brewing Co - Auburn in colour. Thin head. Gently rising bubbles.
Difficult aroma - I have cold - grainy with floral/citrus notes?
Astringent but I can't distinguish the hops.
Soft.
I am sure I will like it more when I get my full chemo' senses back.

Bottled
Pours a mid brown body with decent enough white head
Rye citrus and red liquorice aroma
There's the hops and some rye and though it is a tad thin it's so far the best of the range

Pours clear ruby brown into a tulip from a bottle. The offwhite sparse head starts 2 - 3 fingers high before receding quickly into surface froth.
There is a bit of a grassy, floral quality to the aroma; something vinous and vegetative. Underneath it all there is a sweet maltiness, a little bit of pine, and passionfruit. The flavour is very much IPA with just a bit of rich red fruit; unripened passionfruit and grapefruit, some floral pine, pomegranate, a light maltiness, and a mild hop bitterness.
In the mouth it feels medium bodied, a little drying yet wet. Carbonation is minimal.
Pretty average for a red IPA, nice and balanced, nothing offensive. Pretty sessionable.
