Batch #452-3. Served in room temperature.
Apperance: Light copper. Pours a thick, three finger head with a slight brown tint.
Aroma: Caramel, alcohol, spicy hops.
Taste: Fairly sharp alcohol, a little smoky, with burnt sugar and light herbal characteristics from the hops. The reported IBU is 80 and there is some bitterness present, but this is dominated by alcohol and caramel (but not too sweet).
Mouthfeel: Light carbonation, smooth & creamy.
Overall: The taste suggests even more alcohol than 8.0%, but not in a bad way. It's nice and warming, great for a cold day (we got this winter's first on the day of reviewing in Helsinki, so very appropriate!). Pretty good stuff.
