I had this on tap at the brewery. They give the beer the nickname "The Ladykiller". Comes in a stemmed pilsner glass with the brewery's stork logo.
Cloudy, normal weizen color. Fluffy white head that leaves some lacing.
Strong citrus, and banana/clove aromas. Smells more like a beer from Belgium than what I expect from a German weizen.
Upfront there is a lemony citrus taste, with a good bit of malt sweetness. In the finish the ripe banana taste is more present, with some lingering sweetness. Lots of esters in here.
Full, satisfying mouthfeel.
Drinkable, but I wouldn't want more than one.
