500ml bottle from Aldi's (£1.50):
I am a big fan of Williams Brothers beers but sadly this one failed to deliver and can be considered nothing better than a disappointment from the brewery. The beer stopped short of proving undrinkable but I wouldn't really class it as enjoyable down to the fact it was so basic and uninteresting with little more than a mildly hoppy, bitter taste that could have been any other golden ale I've tried in the past; I'd sooner go back to countless others from the brewery before picking this one up again I'm afraid.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of July 2015. Picked up just the other day from Aldi (in time for Burns night). Described as a pale ale with a hoppy aroma.
Poured into a tulip pint glass. A pale golden hue with low carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding. Aroma of light floral hops with hints of mild white fruit, faint citrus, grass/hay, grainy malt and ale yeast. Tasty.
Tastes of light, fruity hops and grain, with a mild finish. Notes of grass/hay, subtle white fruit, faint citrus hints, grainy malt, fruity ale yeast and a delicate earthiness in the background. Slightly sweet, followed by a muted hoppy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with good body and pleasant hop oils on the tongue. The carbonation is rather subdued - could certainly be livelier. An aftertaste of mild aromatic hops and grainy malt.
Pretty good; a satisfying pale ale that goes down nicely. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour have a soft hoppiness carefully balanced by light malt and faint yeast esters. Decent body - would benefit from enhanced carbonation. A very drinkable brew that would be perfect for summer. Worth sampling if you come across it.

Bought from Aldi just before Burn's night.
Extremely pale golden ale. Plenty of carbonation without producing a head.
Slight hop to the nose but mostly bubbles.
Light hoppy flavour with a touch of sweetness. Not much flavour at all.
Rather insipid and somewhat oily.
I will raise a glass with more peaty offering to my haggis.
