500ml Bottle from Aldi supermarket (£1.49):
A light & clear, golden amber with a foamy white head about 2cm tall that holds well. The nose is basic with some pale malts & grains that are reminiscent of a lager then some faint, grassy hops at the end but it's not very complex or much like an American pale ale either. The taste is just as poor with some bitterness upfront accompanied by some pale malts, straw & light, earthy hops. The body was smooth but overly bitter & poorly balanced, a real disappointment throughout sadly.

Bottle. Light amber with a well retained frothy head.
Malty aroma. Grain and light hop.
Tastes similar. Straw and nectar.
Mildly effervescent. Medium body.
Not much there really.

Bottled and purchased as part of Aldi’s beer festival
Pours an amber coloured body with big foaming white head
Aroma is polished nickel coins
Tastes like chalk and ash with vague notions of citrus

Palest gold with no head. 3.5
Straight grain. 3.5
Gruel, some honey, and aimless shadows of grassy hops. 3.5
Almost flat, watery, light. 3.5

In no way an APA; one decent addition of Cascade would’ve done, never mind the four the label claims. A golden ale, and not a good one - overextracted powdery grain and thin body, plus a touch of oxidation. Bad supermarket fare. 3.5

Brewed for Aldi I think

Pours with typical brilliance and nice head. Golden.

Sweet malty aroma, fairly low in the hop aroma - lychee and peachy.

Taste - good malty base with a nice hit of grapefruit bitterness - I guess they saved the hops for the flavour and bitterness. Nicely juicy bitterness to it, classic cascade hop flavours give way to a malt finish. Good body too it, well carbed

A better beer than their last Aldi only beer, Golden Rule

Worth trying and good value/well brewed as always but I think the aroma lets it down a little
