This enigmatic Belgian IPA pours copper revealing a blend of Belgian & US ale yeasts. The aggressive American hops are balanced by more delicate European varieties, enhanced by an underlying fruity character, derived from the addition of coriander & orange peel.

330ml Can from Aldi supermarket (£1.25):
Caramel amber but very clear with a creamy head that's an off-white colour & leaves nice lacing on the glass. The nose opens caramel malt, a faint sweetness & some earthy, bitter notes further on with burnt toast & toffee. The taste has a few hops & floral notes initially with more caramel & bread malts around the middle. The beer seems closer to a pale ale & there's not much Belgian about it really. There's a little spice at the end & the body is a medium, well-balanced one but it wasn't what I was expecting.

Can. Clear amber with a fast diminishing head.
Leafy hops and toffee malt noticeable when smelt.
Tastes similar to smell.
Mid carbonation and feel.
Closer to England than Belgium
