Almost black, neautiful cappuccino colored foam.
IN the smell an intense grinded coffee, fresh and aromatic.
In the mouth even a lot of chocolate, mixed with the coffee in a good balance.
Intense, relatively light body.
Long coffee aftertaste.

Copenhagen 24/6 2021. 50 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Totem-like abstract face mask which looks a bit like a pig on the can.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet slightly roasted malty odor mingling with light earthy notes. Dark roasted malts, brown sugar. Bitter chocolate. Touch of compost.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. A bit watery. Lingers shortly. Finish is a bit thin.
Fine nose but a bit thin in flavor.

Not as prominent with the coffee or chocolate flavours as the name suggests, definite sweetness and roasted malt flavours, very thin and head dissipated quickly (from can).

550ml Can from Lidl (£1.49):
Dark, opaque black with a thin, tan head that settles as a broken up surface lacing. The nose is dark with roasted malts, an earthy coffee bitterness & oats right at the end. The taste is similar with lots of toasted malts, a little vanilla sweetness & oak at the end. There's a roasted bitterness to finish & the body is medium to full, with a tiny bit of sweetness & soft carbonation.

500ml can, bb in 16 months, so presumably fresh.
Clear very dark brown colour with red tinge. Light brown head that fades quickly. Limited lace.
Very strong aroma of roasted coffee beans. Parchingly dry. Burned even.
Taste brings up some of the oats in a smoothing but not quite sweet counterweight. The coffee derived bitterness is still considerable. Carbonation is there to enliven things too. As the beer opens up, the red berries and roasted malt show up from underneath the coffee.
A pleasant enough dry coffee stout. Drinkable but limited in taste range.
