Copenhagen 19/6 2021. 50 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Totem-like, owl-y facemask in blue, gold and white on the can.
Pours clear yellow with a big white head. Settles as a lumpy but consistent layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a malty sweetness mingling with tart, citric notes. Sweet pale malts, caramel and cardboard. Citrus and lime.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is nitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is fairly dry.
Solid APA with a sweet maltiness niece balanced by citric hops.

Very smooth mouthfeel with release of pine and i detected a slight wheat beer banana hint and sure enough this is brewed with wheat. Going down a treat after a thai curry.

This is my favourite beer at the moment. I feel like IPA's are all we are subjected to these days. This Pale ale is what a beer should be for me- refreshing!
Look- Great design, kind of egyptian looking/ nice colours/ Straw coloured beer.
Smell- bursting with piney notes
Taste- great balance of a strong bitterness hitting you straight away, with a really nice piney flavoured after-taste that doesn't fizzle away like these IPA's.
It's a perfect go-to refreshing pint.

Tallboy can from Lidl. Pale yellow with a lasting white foamy head. Nose is a pleasant zingy citrusy fresh aroma. Taste is a clean not too heavy with just the right amount of floral and piny hops. Very nice beer and my go to pale ale when it's available

500ml Can, Sainsbury's (£2.30):
Clear golden with a large, foamy white head about 2.5cm tall that eventually halves in size. The nose is light & floral with some fresh citrus, subtle hops & pine right at the end. The taste is light too with floral hops, grassy flavours & some faint pine. It's surprisingly good for a light bodied beer. It's a dry, clean & crisp with good carbonation & a sharp, slightly zesty finish.
