Belgian DIPA
Interrogating this golden Belgian DIPA; The hot aroma reveals aromatic orange notes with hints of pepper. This move and refined beer deliveries lashings of citrus fruit, balance by subtle space and an elegant bit of finish.

Can. Medium amber with a thin dense head.
Underwhelming aroma of malt and light citrus hops.
Barley sugar flavour. Mildly bitter. Slight dryness at the end.
Medium carbonation.
Nothing special here.

Canned in a big old tallboy crafty craft can and purchased from budget supermarket Lidl where it is part of their craft beer fest
Pours a crystal clear golden body with decent white head aroma is dry notes and tart candy
Flavour is all that with a slight bitter finish

440ml can from Aldi (£1.79):
Medium amber & clear with fine bubbles through the body & a half cm, foamy white head that has a few bubbles through it too. Lots of citrus open the nose, it's sharp with sweet fruits & candy notes too, not too many hops or much bitterness though. Again the taste is quite sharp with sweet fruits from the nose citrus & a faint touch of pine. It's slightly more bitter here but only just, whilst the body is light medium but the balance was lacking & it had a strangely bitter finish; quite a poor beer & not really a DIPA for me either.
