Served in a half-pint glass at the Whey Pat in St Andrews. Reviewed January 2011.
A: Shockingly white head with good retention. Clear, but pleasantly golden.
S: Nice; hoppy/floral with a cheesy creaminess underneath.
T: Pleasant and quenching. Slightly drying hops are the highlight, but this light bitterness is undercut by an odd sourness. Fortunately, it is brief and the aftertaste is a welcome return to the hop character.
M: Crisp, refreshing, drying.
D: I'm a fan more than not. This 'Ale of Man' is light, good, and very drinkable. Tentatively recommended.
