Darkside tastes too much like a porter to garner much praise as a stout. It is solid black and relatively thin bodied with a borderline granular mouthfeel and a roast barley aroma. But aside from these core descriptives, Darkside lacks any appreciable standout features or appeal. And they serve it way too cold.
Not a bad beer, but a weak stout.
