A: Nice head with some lacing. Beautiful straw colored hazy body. About as good as it gets.

S: Yeasty banana and a hint of clove. Nothing out of place but nothing too outstanding.

T: All the solid flavors you'd expect from a good hefe. I can't really fault this beer for anything, but it's still not exactly reaching for the stratoshpere.

M: Nice bubbly zing and creamy at the same time. Expertly balanced.

D: There's nothing to stop me from drinking a bunch of these except that I only had one bottle.

22oz bomber poured into an imperial pint glass.

Pours a very classic hazy golden/wheat color with a super huge head that's really unmanagable.

Taste is sharp and wheaty. Very unfiltered an yeasty, has both a Belgian hint and a homebrew taste. Not bad but I'd say skip it.

A straw coloring to the beer. Unbelievable amount of head on this beer and a little bit of lacing.

Smells of banana, yeast, wheat and lemon. Also a hint of an unknown spice.

A taste of bananas and wheat. Lemon and the spice follow up and the yeast is an after thought when having this beer. a good hefe, but not a great one.

This beer is a bit over carbonated, has a creaminess and light body.

I could have a few of these in a night. A good but not great representation of the beer. Unfortunately this is my last one.

A bomber poured into a weizen glass. It was a hazy gold color with a huge, whipped cream-appearing head. It had an outdoorsy aroma of grass ans hay, as well as a little bit of citrus. Mostly wheat taste, a tiny bit of lemon. A little bit on the bubbly side, but still a pretty good beer. I guess at this point, if I wan't more of this beer, I'll have to go back to Bert's in Hookset.

Pours a five+ finger cream head that fades very slowly leaving some lace. Murky brown/amber color, ton of yeast left in bottle. Fierce carbonation and medium bodied. Slight lemon nose. Flavor is hoppy lemon with some yeast. There are better hefes like Julius Echter Hefe-Weissbier. $5.99 for a 22oz bottle from The Meat House Pembroke, NH.

22oz bomber purchased at McKinnon's in Salem, NH. Pours a hazy light yellow body with a good couple inches of off-white head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Lemon, banana, and a bit of butter with hints of a soapiness characterize the aroma. Lemon, pith, banana, with a slight husky nuttiness in the flavor. Light bodied with moderate to ample carbonation. An easy drinker, as it's light and not that complex. Honestly, reminds me more of an American Wheat than a Hef. Not a bad beer, but I've had better examples of the style.

A: Pours a nice dark golden color with not much head, but what is there is offwhite. Some small amounts of lacing are left behind.

S: Smells wheaty, a tiny bit of lemon zest, and some light citrus from the hops. Some light banana bread as well.

T: Tastes pretty wheaty with some slight bready caramel notes. Some lemon hits you in the middle, and the end finishes with a bit more caramel sweetness. The yeast isn't too dominant, but you do get some banana and subtle clove in there.

M: Smooth, well carbonated, light bodied.

D: I could drink this beer all day, very refreshing.

Pours a beautiful light amber color with a one-finger head into my fluted glass.

Clove and mild banana dominate the aroma. A good hint of wheat malt as well.

Taste is full of clove, banana and light wheat malt. Not too bad. Not harsh or offensive.

Mouthfeel is full of lingering banana and clove. Again, light and inoffensive. Just right for the style actually.

Very nice example of the style that has a good taste to it. Not the best out there but I'd go as far as to say that it's one of the better from this region.

Pours a very hazy orange golden with a thin head that settles to a ring. Smells of lemon and some slightly sweet malt, with a touch of light, earthy bitterness. Lacks some of the exuberant yeastiness of the style, but not bad. Light yeast, very light spiciness with just the barest wisp of clove, slight tang on the finish. Smooth and light rather than crisp in the mouth, Not quite a zingy and flavorful and quenching as I like my hefes.

A thick, cloudy yeastie liquid swirls around and supports a thick, foamy white head that is tinted with darker yeastie-bits that are a light brown color. Unfiltered is fine, but mine is like swamp water. still, no worries.

The aroma is very strong for the style, big dried wheat smell, herbs and garden veggies, slight spiceiness and the yeast might be too subtle on the nose.

a crispy wheat and citric bite hits first, lemmon's and herbs, wheat and subtle white pepper. The wheat is a strong flavor here and the tangy edge is a bit strange, otherwise very clean. The feel seems to downgrade as time goes by, the crispness that a good Hefe needs seems to mellow to quicky. The feel actually becomes pretty watery and thin after a while and the yeast buld up at the bottom makes it hard to finish, but i like a nice kick of V-B so i'm down.

Quality Hefe's are a must for summertime, this one is middle of the road and could be improved.
