We had a grandiose dream. We wanted to make a big beer that had it all. A big look, a big scent and a big taste. A big beer where it all comes together in a metaphorical explosion. And you know what? Boom!

Color is a dark reddish brown. Pours with a slight head, off white.
There´s a lot going on on the nose... piney notes mingle with floral grassy ones, underpinned by molasses. The longer you sniff, the more you find.
Complex taste, starting piney and bitter with a trace of brown sugar. Raisins, plums and floral tones come next, finished by some booze. The booze increases slightly as it gets warmer.
The carbonation is just right for the style, and the feel is nice and sticky.
Overall, a solid barley wine. May get another, because this will probably get better with some age, right now it is a bit raw.
