330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. BB date 05.03.2015. ABV is 9.5%. Black colour, large beige head. Aroma of roast malts and liquorice. Roasty flavour too, plenty of liquorice, salty and hoppy finish. Nice enough, but not as complex as I hoped for.

My first Swedish craft beer and not a disappointment from what I gather is a great brewery.

Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has dark, roasted malts, some sugar and caramel and a hint of milk chocolate. Taste starts on the sweet side with malt and sugar flavors, middletaste has some spicy notes and the finish is more roasty and bitter, even a bit acidic. Medium to heavy body with medium to low carbonation. Overall it's a nice stout, leaning more towards the sweet side. Feels somehow classic.

Very dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Roasted malts, tons of roasted and brewed coffee, cocoa and dark chocolate. Smoothish mouthfeel with a coffee bitter aftertaste. Damn good.

Served in a snifter glass right from the bottle.
Appearance: Thin bodied motor oil with a tan head with little definition to it. Head rose initially to roughly half a finger's length and settled quickly after the first sip.
Smell: Sweet scent of whisky and sugars, smells good but super light.
Taste: Smooth malts with a slight heavy alcohol feel...brown sugars and hints of toffee. Complex a bit but don't expect the world.
Mouth: It's sticky, but the carbonation initially was medium rated...its like the brew lost a bit of carbonation after sitting in the glass. Rarely I have ever seen this. Gains points on stickiness, loses on carbonation.
Overall: Good brew, and I don't regret it, not speaking of numbers I enjoyed it more than my previous beer (review) which was an imperial stout as well. Drink with love and enjoy. Salud!

Vintage: Probably 2010.
The colour is very dark brown (80 EBC), the liquid is clear. The finger thick beige compact head sinks quickly to a thin lid.
Caramel and coffee drops dominates the smell. Chocolate, rye bread and molasses. Some wet paint and solvents in the background.
The intensive taste is sweet with notes of dark chocolate/cocoa, hot alcohol, spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper corns) and ripe plums/prunes. Some bitterness and hints of oil paint in the background. Medium to full body. Distinct notes of pumpernickel and some mature cheese in the aftertaste, and some alcohol. The rather short finish got dark rye bread and a touch of sweet liquorice.
The carbonation is medium strong (it gets stale quite quickly), the many bubbles fresh and very small. The liquid is thick and a bit sticky.
When this beer was fresh, the flavours were all over the place. It is much smoother now after five years, but it is not as elegant and mature as I had hoped for.

11.2oz bottle, the cap has 'Arg2014' and an expiration date of 6/11/17 printed on it, Swedish labeling. Pours dark brown with a small-sized khaki head; pretty pour. Smells of strong coffee, dark fruit, and some roasted malt. The taste follows closely with less coffee and more roasted malt and hops, but is very subdued/weak. Creamy, but pretty thin body for the style. Lower carbonation. Overall, the smell was promising but the flavor is bland.
