We brewed a layered dream! A sweetly soft, robust and elegant flavored beer with plush vanilla and da Matteo roasted Colombian Tabi coffee. Then, we let it mature in lovely Whisky barrels. Avec deluxe!

Almost no head in a tulip glass with a vigorous pour. Other than that this beer was exceptional. Wonderful black coffee flavor with hints of whiskey and vanilla. Alcohol taste not overpowering even at 15% abv. Would definitely buy again.

Big flavor. Coffee, vanilla, dark malts, whiskey. Big abv at 15%. This is a very good Russian Imperial stout. Smooth and creamy. Alcohol becomes more prominent as it warms. Paid $15.00 for a 11.2 oz. bottle. 1 is all you need.

T - The taste is big black coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, charred oak and a nice whiskey finish.
M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a soft dry finish.
O - Really nice. Big whiskey notes in the finish. Definitely a slow sipper.

The international stout market is something I want to get more into. So I picked up the Coffee Vanilla Deluxe from Dugges. The beer was definitely aged in scotch barrels even though it isn't mentioned. It super potent, smoky, almost like liquor. If you're into scotch it will be a welcoming beer.

Unknown vintage, but I'm guessing early summer 2019; drank 6/22/20 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small, noisy tan head which quickly dissipated; no lace.
STRONG peat, mild medium roast coffee bean, mild milk chocolate & faint vanilla notes in the nose.
Creamy, thick mouthfeel.
STRONG peat & mild milk chocolate flavors up front; medium roast coffee bean & faint vanilla flavors. Whiskey heat emerged as this warmed.
WAY too peat forward for me to really embrace, but drinkable & enjoyable all the same. Beware that ABV, it sneaks up on you!

This one pours a pretty dark black color, with a small foamy head, and not much lacing.
This smells like rich, roasty and chocolatey coffee, vanilla, inky and smokey scotch, oak, roasted malt, and dark fruit.
As this warmed, the peated scotch barrel character was amplified, but it never got fully band-aid-y. There's definitely smoke and ink, and spicy barrel, but the coffee character is so wonderful that it balances things out. It's roasty, chocolatey, and with almost a cookie dough type feeling, too. There's silky milky chocolate, too, and a hint of vanilla - nothing overwhelming.
This is very creamy, with really no booziness, and a decent drinkability. More barrel comes out as the beer warms, for sure.
This would be better in straight up bourbon barrels, but it's still really good, as the coffee used is tremendous.

Expounding upon their Coffee Vanilla Imperial Stout, an intesnsely roasted "deluxe" Stout of Dugges doesn't simply stop at roasted grains. Its generous use of coffee and whisky barrel character pushes the strength of roasted flavors higher without becoming scorched. Spiced with vanilla and the ale also takes on a smooth and velvety character.
Coffee Vanilla Deluxe pours a pitch black depth and with a nearly onyx-like sheen. A rich lather of mocha whipped froth tops the glass just as the scent of dark roast coffee, burnt marshmallow, cocoa, whisky spice and dark nuttiness begins to mesmerize senses. Bold sweetness garners an impression of blackstrap molasses, burnt cream and marshmallow.
Its sweetness and creamy textures cling onto the palate for the duration of the session, but the coffee flavors soon override the malt sweetness and creaminess with the soilish earth qualities of baker's chocolate, campfire, black walnut and peppercorn. Strong whisky accented alcohols bring a sense of Irish whisky with a caramel, wood and spice to take a slight edge off of the richer malt tastes and textures.
Lavishly full, rich and nougat-like in texture, the stout is unforgiving on the tactile senses. Its reckless alcohol heat and dense brushfire smokiness renders the ale a slow and sipping beer as it is cram packed with intense flavors and textures. A long linger of coffee leads to an after palate of smoldering embers, whisky and burnt cream deep into the next sip.
