Tastes just like a hoppylicious pale ale should! Like taking a swim in a fruit salad.
Follow our journey as we tweak our way towards the perfect Pale Ale. Step by step, beer by beer, on and on. Forever!
When we export beer to the US from Sweden we only export beer that travels well. That means imperial stouts and sours. Still, we want people in the US to try our take on hoppy stuff as well. So, together with Twelve Percent Beer Project we’ve started to explore ways for us to brew these kinds of beers closer to where they’re enjoyed. We’ve had all the chats. We found a nice spot. And, we’ve brewed an IPA and a DIPA for you all. So, to complete the set, here’s our very first US brewed pale ale. Enjoy!

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 8/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy/fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent hazy American pale ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft feel. Awesome Citra/Mosaic profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a nice sized pale/wheat malt backbone for the ABV. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example. Loved the hop profile as expected.

16 oz. Can
My first from this brewery.
Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow/orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, peach). The taste is nice hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, peach). Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a nice brew. Nice to see it around here.
