L- Pitch black, the test being holding a halogen torch right behind the glass! Pours with 3mm pale tan head that dissipates quite promptly, no big surprise at this ABV.
S- Pungent cocoa, then deep rich grains + cocoa that remind me of the buttery richness of Digestive biscuits. So all in it's like the smell of highly perfumed chocolate Digestive biscuits that have been morphed into a beer.
T- After the smell it's a surprise that the Taste starts on a rather rich yet sour note. Is it a milk stout? - I'll read the lable later. Then massive cocoa, then a liquor/spirit/ABV% twist. Perhaps this is aged in liquor barrels, it's that intense a note. If it is I'll guess rum, but who knows, it's an unusual note and prominent too.
F- At 10% and with a choco theme it could just be a sugar-fest, but that^ pungent liquor/+? note seems to rein it in.
O- Interesting to try but very $; and when the major facet is so pungent but perhaps OTT I begin to wonder. I'd suggest others start this one off well chilled, you'll likely take it slowly and it grows fast as it warms a touch.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook, poured into a snifter glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, tan-colored, fairly long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.
S: A sweet aroma of chocolate, malt, peanut butter, vanilla, and cream.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of malt (present throughout, though subtle), a good shot of chocolate (the star ingredient), a light creamy quality (kind of fleeting), a hint of vanilla, and some mild peanut butter flavors as well. A solid, focused, and subtle flavor. It's not as rich and aggressive a flavor as some stouts, but it does have a nice charm to it.
F: An below average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A well-balanced stout. Worth a try.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a short tan colored head that died down, leaving wisps of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of cocoa beans and chocolate are present in the nose along with hints of vanilla.
T: The taste has contrasting flavors of chocolate and vanilla with a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: With the aromas and flavors of vanilla, this beer doesn't taste quite like a chocolate chip but it is a nice stout and does a rather good job at hiding the alcohol from the taste.
